Namaste friends! I am Kalicharan on Sajha Manch. As per the new labour laws the laborers would be forced to work for 12 hours instead of 8 days in a day. Companies can fire them anytime for any reason. In the light of such suppressive labor laws and government policies I feel that the labour protest movement is going to be successful. We all are with it. We demand that the work-shift for a day should be limited to 8 hours only. They should be paid as per the minimum wages rules prescribed by the labour laws. The three categories of laborers like skilld, semi-skilled and unskilled should be paid accordingly and they should not work than more than 48 in week. If these labor laws would be eliminated then the era of the bonded labor would be back. It will also increase unemployment and decrease overall production.
