Muni Naik, a tribal woman from Mayfair Nagar Ward 16, shared through IVRS that when the settlement began, 4 to 5 households had no access to water and electricity. To get water, community members had to walk 2 to 3 km carrying buckets and vessels to store water for the day. As the population grew, the government started supplying water directly to the settlement, eliminating the scarcity of water and electricity.
Kumudini Behera, a resident of Laxmisagar Tala Sahi, Ward 43, reported via IVRS that the water supply tap is located inside a drain and needs immediate attention. Additionally, the drain is open and does not have a cover, posing a risk of damage to the water pipeline and potential chances of falling down to children. It is crucial to take prompt action to address these issues.
Sumitra Behera, a community member from Laxmisagr Tala Sahi Ward 43, shared via IVRS that there is an open drain in front of her house which is filled with waste and has not been cleaned. This causes the drain to get filled with waste water during rainy days, leading to water entering inside the houses. Additionally, the supply water pipeline gets submerged with waste water.
Namita Behera, SDA Secretary of Laxmisagar Tala Sahi Ward 43, shared in IVRS that in his settlement, there are 150 households present, and most of them are suffering from waterlogging due to the narrow and small drain, which doesn't have the capacity to handle stormwater.

Kalpana Dutta from Balitota Sahi, Ward 38 reported in the IVRS that due to five to six households living in a low-lying area, rainwater was entering the houses. Although there was a storm drain available, it was fully covered with a slab, preventing the water from flowing properly. To address this issue, the residents manually created holes in the slab to allow the water to flow out during rainy times.
