I am Kani from Ambattur PTS. Education scholarship which was given by Labor welfare board was stopped from past 2 years. We asked this under Right to information clause. The answer received for that was, Government does not have sufficient funds for that. On March 5th we conducted a huge protest in Thiruvallur. In that the first point was Labor welfare board should function properly and proper fund needst o be allocated. After that i.e on March 16th it was announced in the budget that, Rs.1838.24 crore has been allotted. And at present the educational scholarship which was stopped has been released. This is a victory that PTS has got.

Mother: Sometimes she says she want to become lawyer. Sometimes she says she wants to become doctor. For her cutoff marks she got MBBS seat. Interviewer: MBBS is a very costly, How did she get placed in this. Please share more about it. Mother: If your a daughter studies well and gets government placement cant you spent Rs.50000 yearly!! Definitely we can do that. If our daughter has good marks, they will come and give seat for her. And it will be only 15000 to 20000 that definitely we can spend. If your child has good marks, every college is ready to give seat. We sould support our kids to get good marks. Even our kids can become IAS officers, doctors etc. its not that labours children should not study. Education is the only asset we can give it to our kids. We can do it.

I am Santhanmari from PTS. We have applied for the pension in committee. Few people are already getting it. But for 4 people they are not getting pension from 8 months. We went and asked later we gave petition too. Now all these 4 members, gauri, chandra, nagarathinam, got their pension.

My name is Santhanamari. I am going to tell a story of our women worker union member's story. She is working as a domestic helper. She has 2 daughters. Her husband used to drink alcohol and scold her with bad words. One day she directly came to my home and told us do something or i will die here itself. Immediately i went to her home along with Rathanavalli, Rosy. We spoke to him and he said that he will not repeat this. After 2 days again he repeated the same thing and she was beaten badly by him. Immediately her 2 daughters called me rquested to admit her to hospital. Again we went there. And told him that you are not listening to us so we will take action against you. He came behind us and told he will not repeat this and only once a week he will drink alcohol but i will not hit her. Afetr a month I called her daughter and asked hw is he behaing now? She said he is not hitting or using bad words. I am working in a bank now for Rs.11000 salary and my sister is studying 12th.

I am Sumathi from PTS. Yesterday Selvi spoke in Urimai kural. She said that her husband has not been given 2 months salary. We spoke to her. Her husband's name is Balaraman. He is working as watchman next to Rohini theater. He said he has not got May, June month salary. Immediately we spoke to his owner. His name is Saravanakumar. We said that Balaraman has not got 2 months salary and he has complained in PTS. This act of not giving salary to a worker is a wrong thing. He said he will surely give the salary and now he is in Dindival with some official work, after talking about few things he will give the salary. Evening he will talk to him. Evening after he comes ack we will talk to him. Balaram will get whatever he is supposed to get.

I am Santhanamari and I am calling from PTS. Many things were published in urimai kural today. Especially Vijayalakshmi is taking interviews daily. She has the motive of doing something for others. She has recorded a problem faced by kadaloor people. I really appreciate this. Thank you for that.

I am Santhanamari from PTS. More than 400 workers are residing in Nerkudram Omsakthi nagar. More than 100 people are working as domestic helper. These people were shifted to Kudappakkam. They have no job opportunity in Kudapakkam. SO they were struggling alot. They ere unable to sed their kids to school and even if they send them they were supposed to leave the house by 7am and used to come back at 7pm. They came and requested me that they are struggling alot. We had a meeting and got their signatures and gave the petition to collector. Collector didnt give any response to the petition but i hae asked them to print a notice saying that they are spending Rs. 100 daily for bus fare. We thought Kudapakkam area is good so we relocated here but we have no job opportunity here. Even if we go out for work, we are unablt to manage with this money. Either give us job opportunity or please give bus fare for domestic helpers. I asked them to go and approach them. For few people the owner is giving the bus fare but for few we are still we are working on job opportunity.
