Prabhasini Jani from Raikhol area jotibaradaya gp of Khajuripada, Kandhamal district is saying on how to make traditional food,' Manda peetha'. At first they make rice flour, and frying grated coconut with jaggery. In a pot adding some water and a little salt to it puting the pot on stove. After stiring it for few minutes take the dough out to a tray. Then taking little dough making some balls by keeping coconut fry inside it. Now steam those balls in a pot for 20 minutes and take them out. The food will be ready to serve.

At first remove the peels of green peas, boil some potato and remove the peels. Put a kadhai on fire, and add some oil to it. Adding onion, , masala powder, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, stire fry it well. Now add the peas and boiled potato into that mixture and fry for few minutes. The Curry is ready to serve.

Sakambari Jani Is from Raikhol village of Khajuripada block, Kandhamal district. She is explaining how to make bamboo shoot curry. At first we have to cut the shoots and keep in a bowl for 24hours . Then cleansing it well put those in another bowl by quizing it. Put a kadhai on fire, add oil, on heating of oil add cumin, mustard, chopped green chillis to it. Fry it well and then add the bamboo shoots and fry for few minutes. Now add some salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder , cumin powder to it and cook it for 20 minutes. The Curry is ready now.

We need fish head, 3 eggs, turmeric powder, salt, oil, garlic paste, ginger paste, onion paste, coriander powder and coriander. Put pan on stove and put oil kn it, then saute fish heads on this until it's cooked. Then transfer the fish heads to another plate and put bay leaf, ginger, garlic and onion paste and turmeric powder on that same pan in which first saute the fish. After few minutes add chili paste and tomato paste. Then add little water on that and mix well. Then add prepared fish heads on that masala and mix well. Then add salt as per taste and mix well. Then put eggs on that, mix well. Then stir for some times. After few minutes remove the pan from stove and put some coriander leaves.

Then make paste from Mustard, garlic and dried chili. Put a pan on stove, put oil and temper this. After that add prepared besara paste on this. Saute for few minutes then add boiled jackfruit and yam then mix them well. The add salt and turmeric powder as required. On the lid, Stir often. Leave this for few minutes until these are cooked properly. After sometimes remove the pan from stove. Our Panasa Alu curry is ready.

The put a pan on stove and put some oil, then add cumin seeds, chili and onion on that and stir nicely. Then put Mustard paste, then add salt and turmeric as per taste and stir. After stirring for sometimes add boiled jackfruit on the masala. Mix them well. Add little water and leave this for few minutes until this cooked properly.
