Nirmala Mohapatra, a frontline worker of Budha Nagar Bhoi Sahi ward 42, shared via IVRS that she welcomes everyone to the plantation program because plants play a very important role in our lives, just like how a child is necessary for our life. She emphasized that the high heat wave this year was primarily due to the cutting down of trees. She expressed concern that while we are quick to cut down trees, we often neglect the responsibility of planting trees and taking care of them, much like a child. On this special day, she urged everyone to plant trees, emphasizing that we should aim to plant as many trees as there are people in the world, as trees not only provide fruits but also give us oxygen. She encouraged everyone to take an oath to plant trees and take care of them.

Bhabani Patra from Bhagabati Matho, Ward 50 mentioned that they used to have problems with the supply water pipeline and water tap. They submitted a written document to WATCO and discussed it in a review meeting with officials, including WATCO division. The community raised their water taps being submerged during heavy rain which ensure access to safe drinking water during climate impacts but the water pipeline was not removed, the WATCO department has not yet removed the supply water tap from the drain.
