It was the payment of pending installments for previous months. The pension currently remains ₹1,000 per month. Although the government has announced a possible increase to ₹1,500 per month before the 2027 elections, it has not been implemented yet. Beneficiaries should rely on the amount credited to their bank accounts rather than announcements.
