Deepak Kumar from Sadar Hazaribagh tells Jharkhand Mobile Vaani that Prime Minister declared a scheme of providing free medicines to people but later backed out on his words. Prime Minister’s promise for distribution of free medicines raised hopes amongst the poor as millions are not able to afford medicines due to lack of appropriate funds. People who are not able to get treatment of severe diseases would have been able to get expensive medicines for cure in Government hospitals. Rescinding the scheme will breach the trust of people in the Government. Deepak requests the Prime Minister to think of the health of underprivileged and bring the provision of free medicines for the poor.
