In this month one date to thirteen no one can didn't accept oil , spices food.All village are are obey it every family wash the clothes,house and go to worship. Which family keeping vows the his wife didn't use comb in the head. Within 13 days she will saying without comb hair. She is taking arua rice no any spice use their food recipes. Garlic, onion, turmeric didn't using if the other villages people came to home then cooking for them extra. And also if the this village people going to other villages then they didn't consume out side food after coming to home and bath then took ownership Cook food if they taking water other people touch it then they didn't drink.
Kuni tripathy from phulbani kandhamal saying aboute special sweet dish which is offer to god in makar sankranti festival. Put one dish on stove and boil water and pour rice ,then add coconut , sugarcane, ginger,tuber ,milk and boiled for some time . Then rice puding is ready to eat.
