I am Kuruvammal. During lock down many have lost their job and livelihood. Migrant labours also suffered it.On behalf of Semmalar union I request to give Monthly Rs.7500 and 10kg rice.

I am Nagarathinam. A migrant worker from Assam has shared with over phone during survey that he has got 7kg Rice, lentils oil, sugar, as corona virus given relief materials from ration shop.

I am Nagarathinam. I spoke and conducted survey for migrant workers over phone. Due to lockdown they are not going for work. I asked whether rent was collected. They said no rent was collected for this month.

I am Nagarathinam. In a survey done for migrant workers over phone, i got to know that migrant workers with ration card got Rs.1000 and provisions at ration shops. Those who dont have it, 2 group of volunteers came and gave 5kg rice, lentils and other things in 2 different batches between the gap of 10 days.

I am Nagarathinam. In a survey of migrant mill workers, i got to know that they are coming from Bihar, Assam Odissa. before corona virus i met them and spoke to them. Now i spoke to them over phone. I asked them what are you doing for food and other things during lock down. They said mill owner is cooking food and giving to each and every house. Its a good thing. They must be in a difficult situation. everyone are in a situation where they run family with monthly salary.

I am Nagarathinam. Last week I met a Assam state worker. Her daughter had eye pain. She works in mill work. So because of that heat she got eye pain. She knows that i am from labour union. She asked me whether hospital expenses can be done through union. What i thought was she doesnt know the rights of labours. They left their state and came to this state to work. But they dot know what rights do they have. I really feel bad for that. I gave her this number and asked her to dial number 9 if she doesnt know Tamil.
