I am speaking from District Siddharth Nagar, UP, and I am extremely happy that everyone has shown their talents. Everyone has sent their wishes and greetings on the occasion of the Day for Disabled Persons, and it felt very good to receive them. From my side as well, I send you all many congratulations and best wishes. I would like to say that on this day, please remember that we are not less than anyone. We will not remain dependent on anyone. Do something in such a way that you don’t have to depend on anybody. Be capable of doing all your work on your own. And never consider yourself inferior to anyone. Whether it is studies, or any other work, or any art—whatever it may be—try to move ahead of everyone. Thank you.”**

आपदा राहत के दौरान भी महिलाओं की स्थिति चुनौतीपूर्ण रहती है। राहत शिविरों में कई बार अकेली महिलाओं, विधवाओं या महिला-प्रधान परिवारों की जरूरतें प्राथमिकता में नहीं आतीं। तब तक आप हमें बताइए कि , *--- जब किसी महिला के नाम पर घर या खेत होता है, तो परिवार या समाज में उसे देखने का नज़रिया किस तरह से बदलता है? *--- आपके हिसाब से एक गरीब परिवार, जिसके पास ज़मीन तो है पर कागज नहीं, उसे अपनी सुरक्षा के लिए सबसे पहले क्या कदम उठाना चाहिए?"? *--- "सिर्फ 'रहने के लिए छत होना' और उस छत का 'कानूनी मालिक होना'—इन दोनों स्थितियों में आप एक महिला की सुरक्षा और आत्मविश्वास में क्या अंतर देखते हैं?"
