Kamala Behera from Behera Sahi, Ward 42 reported via IVRS that heavy rainfall causes rainwater and drain water to enter houses, creating unhygienic conditions and damaging belongings. This happens because the drainage system is broken, and the settlement's proximity to the railway station results in railway employees digging a large hole. This causes water to stagnate and flow into the settlement, submerging the water supply tap in waste water.

Shruti Behera, a community member from Behera Sahi, Ward 42, provided feedback through IVRS stating that the drains are filled with water. As a result, the drain water enters inside the houses, causing damage to the water pipeline and contaminating the water. Cleaning the drain would help prevent water logging.

Sulochana Samal, an elderly resident of Budha Nagar Bhoi Sahi Ward 42, reported via IVRS that the street light was not working. Due to the unavailability of the street light, some drinkers engaged in misconduct. It was stated that the presence of a functioning street light was essential to prevent such behavior.

Kalyani Das from Gopabandhu Leprosy Colony, Budha Nagar, Ward 42, registered feedback in IVRS stating that there is a drain in front of the colony that has not been cleaned. As a result, wastewater is overflowing onto the road, causing travel disruptions. The issue has already been reported to the local corporator and requires urgent attention.

Rajashree Choyani from Shampur Ward 22 shared about the alternative water source in IVRS. In each household, the supply water pipeline is connected, and there is a dug well present inside her neighbour's house. We cleaned the dug well using bleach and maintained its surroundings properly because we know that there is a chance of discontinuity of the water supply at any time. During such times, we use the water from the dug well, which is suitable for drinking and domestic purposes. We have already prepared for any inconvenience.

Dipa Maharana from Shampur Ward 22 shared via IVRS that the supply water was connected to every household in the settlement. However, there is a tubewell in the middle of the settlement that was repaired two months ago due to extreme weather conditions and other issues, which caused the supply water to be disconnected at that time. As a result, nearly 25 households are using the tubewell for both domestic and drinking purposes.
