Sudha Interviewing Sumathi: Sumathi is a company worker. Due to corona company work is stopped and her livelihood is badly affected. Only from one week work has started in company. She has got relief materials from Vizhithugal and from Govt. It was helpful during corona time. She says she is safeguarding herself by wearing mask and washing hands often. Even in company social distancing is maintained.

P1: In such case, how come corona boy will live with us?? VM: Corona boy?? P1: Yes sir, He is in our country fro last 4 months. We scolded corona left right center. Now if we were told to learn to live with corona. Then how can that corona will forget everything and live happily with us? VM: Is me and corona same?? P1: Let it be sir. Anger is same for everyone. VM: Yes, Daily morning corona is reading newspaper and checking facebook an getting furious. For that he is getting scared. P1: So you mean he is illiterate?? VM: Hey, corona is a virus. It doesnt have any body. Learning to live with it doesnt mean to invite it to house and living literally with it. P1: Then?? VM: Ok tell me when corona started spreading in our country how were we? P1: We were careful. VM: That is, corona can be anywhere with any person, so what all should we do so that it should infect us? P1: We need to wear face mask and wash hands regularly for 20 seconds, maintain social distancing, eat healthy food and avoid going out unnecessarlily. VM: Thats it!! Even after ends, we need to go to work. When we go to work we need to follow all these things. And be careful. P1: Oh that is the meaning of it then?? Ok sir. So people lets learn living with sir and corona!! VM: What????
I am Saraswati from Madipakkam. Due to lockdown everyone is suffering without job. Vizhithugal has helped poor and needy people in our village by giving Rice, lentils, oil. I am Sudha from Vizhithugal. Unorganised workers who have registered and renewed their cards were only able to get the benefit during lock down.
I am Vidhya from Vizhithugal. To get the welfare scheme benefits Adhar card is must. There are 17 welfare bards in TN. Many welfare schemes like accident benefit, death benefit, funeral benefit, Maternity benefit many benefits are given. Welfare board is transferring money in bank accounts. Those who have joined till now were given cards by verifying information about their work, age certificate, family card. But there were complaints about this. Now Govt has made Adhar card as mandatory. Because poor should be benefited with this. So every unorganised workers should link Adhar card with it.
