I am Saranya from Kodaikanal, kadaimalai. We were taken from Tirupur based company for work saying its a vests company. But it turned out to be a plastic company. They told us they will give us monthly salary but after going there they said salary will be given only if we stay there for 6 months. When we came back to home they didnt pay us salary. They just gave Rs.1500 for expenses. I am Pushpa from Melakottai, Madurai Dist. My grandpa worked as sanitation worker for 30 years. Now he is 60 years and got retired. So far he has not received any settlement money. Can he get money? Please tell me.

I am Semmalar union incharge from Chellayapuram. In last 30 years the wage rate from profit of the company has been reduced to 11% from 30.3%. At the same time owner's profit has been increased from 23.4% to 56.2%. The amount profit has been increased didnt make the difference in workers wages. No Medical help and no pension makes the situation worse.

Pasiruthi company in Madiparai village has started working from today. More than 15 women of KKR nagar are working here. The work timing is 7am to 1pm. Asper the Govt instruction company has given March month relief fund through bank. Thanks to that company.

I am Nagarathinam. In survey done over phone whether mill workers got salary, they said there are many mills in Sanarpatti. Some mills gave their salary along with relief fund of Rs.1300. They didnt share the mill's name. Its a happy thing that mill gave extra Rs.1300.

I am Dhanamani from Ambedkar union Ottanchathiram. We say all these saitary workers are equal to God. But they are suffering by not able to drink water from anyone. They are eating breakfast in the afternoon and lunch at night. Even at this difficult time they are working. Govt has asked to increase their salary. But they got salary for the 26 days. They didnt get extra salary because they are working on contract. I request to give them extra salary. Sanitary workers in Panchayath, Municipality and Corporation please think about their livelihood and I request Central and state Govt to give them permanent Job.

Vasantha Interviewing Veeramma - She is a sanitary worker. She gets Rs. 80 as daily wages. Monthly its Rs. 2600. She gets paid only if she goes to work. She is not allowed to go any other work too. Govt has given Vaccination for corona prevention. She says it will be good if they are given Rs. 5000 monthly. She says she is working for the betterment and cleanliness of the village.

Reply: I am Ponnusamy from TLRF. 15 of you have worked for 9 months are from last 3 months you didnt get your salary, so for not giving salary from last 3months and for not deducting PF you can approach labours court or you can complain in Dindugal free legal aid and get the solution for this.
