I am Alagurani from Kottayampet. Due to corona we are all stuck at home and our financial difficulty is increasing. We can manage our household expenses only if both of us at home go for work. Now since we are at home our financial difficulty has increased. Govt said they will give Rs. 1000 which wont be sufficient. It will be good if Govt increases the amount.

They said, We respect 21 days lock down but without any income how can we lead life? we are daily wagers, only if we go to work on daily basis we can manage our daily needs. In this situation crossing 1 week of 21days corona was difficult. Dont know how are we going to meet out family needs of our family. We live in rented house. If we are not giving rent will the owner allow us to live in that house?
Once there was an old lady. She had no one to take care of her. She used to sell wood sticks and with that income she used to lead her life. Always she used to murmur why is Yama dharmaraj is not coming and taking her life. Once she went to a forest and collected all wood sticks. A thorn pricked her and she was in deep pain. After walking for a while she sat under a tree. With the uncontrollable pain of thorn's prick she started to murmur even more. No one in this world wants to die. This story says that whatever sickness, situation or old age may be but everyone wants to live, not die. Ok we all want to live, but are we following the rule for that? Govt is saying Corona virus is affecting everyone, stay safe and maintain minimum of 1 meter distance. TV Radio everywhere they are saying this. But yesterday, Sunday there was a huge crowd in Madurai, chennai kasimedu to buy fish, Everywhere it was crowded. God will save us but at the same time we all should take precautions. If 1 person is getting affected with this virus, do you know how many people can he affect??? research and medical surveys say that Almost till 8kms the movement of people should be reduced. Everyone near the person should be examined. Only for this 21days lockdown was implemented. This situation is not where we can treat after we get the disease. because till now no medicine is found for this. Prevention is better than cure. Thats why Govt has enforced this lockdown. Lets also obey this social distancing. And safeguard ourselves and our family from Corona virus.
1) Minister Velumani says double salary for sanitary workers also applies to contract staffs. 2) Lock down has been imposed due to Corona virus. Chennai corporation has told that those who are working in factories and other business concerns can get their pass. 3) Chennai commissioner officer told that 5000 people have applied for pass to go out of Chennai. 4) Telecommunications have confirmed that no hike will be made in service for the next 3 months. 5) Corona virus Pandemic has reached stage 3. Central Govt has passed orders to close the entry of all district and states to stop its spread. Those who are not following the lockdown will be locked in isolated rooms for 14 days.
Number of fire cracker units are more in Sivakasi. Almost 800-900 fire cracker units are there in that city. There is no proper systems in these units. They are manufacturing crackers by violating the rules of Govt. Constructing building by violating the law. Owners are appointing more number of people in one building for their own benefit. They are increasing the quantity of chemicals in crackers and appointing more number of labours in one building. 70% of Dalit people are doing this job. They dont have proper PF, ESI, pension. Our party's main request is all fire cracker units should be undertaken by Govt. People should get the benefit by Govt undertaking it. Only then our livehood will improve. Private concerns use us for their benefits. Only when Govt undertakes it, they will use proper amount of chemicals and appoint proper number of people. 70% of Dalit people will improve their livelihood. 9 people have lost their life today. Lakhs of people have lost their life already. None of the family got proper compensation and murder case should be charged on the owner. Our second request is, since it is private concern they are stress free and give 5-6 lakh for the deceased family. they take it for granted. Murder case should be filed on them. Our 3rd request is, contractor should not be left just like that. For the profit of contractor he appoints more people and produces more crackers. There should not be any contractors. Govt should undertake and run it.
Awareness on Corona Virus - Symptoms, how it is spread, how to control it, ways of virus spread, avoid touching face, mouth, eyes, ears, Spot spitting on road, Avoid drinking and smoking, Approach hospital immediately in case of cold, cough and flu. Drinking tender coconut water, ORS, Porridge. Stop travelling to corona infected cities and countries. Stop attending large gatherings and events. Hand washing steps to control corona virus.
