Panchayath head should participate, Village administration officer should participate, and any Govt officer should participate. K Yes, you are right. but above this in a gram sabha meeting officers related to 29 departments. But in reality, no one is participating. Do you know about it? S: Oh is it??!! I knew that officers from Govt departments will attend but never knew that officers from 29 departments should participate. Kani, because i participated in this Gram sabha i know the decisions taken but how to know whether they are fulfilled or not and do you know whether in any other village the decisions are implemented or not. K: Oh come on. Dont you know that?? During last gram sabha meeting, it was decided that we dont want 8 lane road in Salem. They the decision was made to cancel 8 lane road work. See this is a real success. So dear friends, we came to know how much the gram sabha is powerful.

I am getting pension and with that my daily needs are getting fulfilled. I am listening to Urimai kural daily and i am able to understand the programs. All the programs are very nice. For a person like me who dont have cell phone, it will be good if you could telecast for half an hour in TV. Try to telecast it in TV it will be helpful for me. I am really happy to hear but i dont know how to talk. Many people are talking here and i am knowing my things through this. It will be good if you could telecast it in TV, everybody can watch it. If we get it like that, we think it is dawn. We all are working partners for the company. And if they are giving the share of their profit for we the working partners, it will be new dawn. Not only that, if Govt or Garments, does something for Young widows like starting a business or something like that. This is what I think. Narrator: thank you friend. I am Kani from PTS. Today i heard about Wild fairy Wangari Maathai. She is the first women to get Noble prize, first to get Doctorate, 1st women professor. She has got many awards. I am really happy to know about this unknown women achiever. His pronunciation was really good. The number of trees has decreased drastically. Nowadays plants are been given in marriages. Its a good thing. But everyone should take care of it. Now its summer season, and we have water scarcity. So reduce water usage. Even in gram sabha meeting, they insisted on using less water. Hope you remember. Kids and plants both are same, If we grow it properly our next generation will be healthy.
I am Sandhanamari from PTS. On March 31st we conducted a meeting among the incharges. During the meeting we discussed about the demands during the election. We have told the incharges to have meeting in their area and explain this. We asked them to give this petition drafts to the election candidates who come for the campaign. Vijaylakshmi, Vimala, Mary gave the demand petition to the candidate and they said they will do it. We, 10 members, went to Morai area. We told them that we are around 500 people. If you assure that you will fulfill our demands we ensure that all 500 members are voting for you. They said that they will do it for sure. Vijaya Lakshmi has kept the demands asking for pension and patta in AKR nagar. They said that they will give this request letter to all the candidate. Remaining all incharges please show that demand letter to the candidate and you can also write the need in your area and give it as a petition. Everyone, please ask. Election is nearing. Only a few have asked the candidates, remaining people please do ask to the candidates to fulfill the demands. If we leave it, we lose a great opportunity and we have to run behind them. So please do it.

I am Santhanamari from PTS. we had dist level meeting in PTS. More 60 women participated in the meeting. During the meeting we discussed about election and Pollachi case. Everyone shared their views. They all said very clearly on voting to their party if their demands has been fulfilled. Everyone was very happy to attend the meeting. Kumudha's speech was really pleasing. Manimegalai, Geetha they all were widows. But they made their kids study. Thank you, everyone, for coming for the meeting. Only if we meet and discuss and demand we can get our needs fulfilled.
