I am Vijayalakshmi from eri scheme. Savitha came to AKR nagar and took interview of me and Nagamma. We shared many things. Its been 10 years that i have joined union. There are many thing happened in this 10 years. We have got so many benefits through union. At first, I went to an Iyyer brahmin's house as domestic helper. They used to say, dont go this side, dont go to kitchen, i have to go from backside and wash the vessels. They didnt give tea or coffee, even if they gave, it was in plastic cup. But after joining union, we undergone training and attended meetings. Now we grew up and we are sitting equal to the owner and eating with them. That was possible only because of joining union. Now i am in a position to tell other people what to do. I am really proud now. Recently one incident happened. A person took money and told that he will get job for my son. He was a Physiotherapist. We gave money to him. Its been so many years but he didnt get us work. We asked for money. I tried all the ways to get my money. We lost the hope of getting money. Finally i thought of sharing it to madam. So i went and shared it to madam. they spoke to him but he didnt give. Later Santhanamari madam, Sumathi mam went to his home and asked. He didnt respond them properly. Next i dont know how mam handled him through advocate. Next day he called me and told me to take the money in installment. So just lik his, many good things has happened after joining the union. They have helped many people. recently they helped many people to get their pension. Madam has done many things for AKR nagar. We are thankful to all the madam They have done so many things.

P1: During flood time it all went in water. So we dont have it now. We have registered it theough the person who was living near that pit. Now even they are not there. they have been relocated to Koodapakkam. After that we thought we wont need it hereafter and left it carelessly. V: Let the book go in water. V: If we go out for such check up, it will cost more, how did you feel about that? P: If we go out it will cost more. They did the check very well. We went through union. V: Since we went through union, we got a very good welcome. P: Yes they treated us well. They took us in van and they provided us food also. We were dropped back from by van.
