I am Vijayalakshmi from eri scheme. This few people who has applied for pension. Lets ask whether they got it or not. Vijayalakshmi: Whats your name? Mahalingam: I am Mahalingam from AKR nagar. V: You applied for pension. What happened to it? Did you go somewhere else regarding this? M: yes I have applied it through PTS. I didnt go anywhere else. They asked me to give the application in Tiruvallur office. Because i am a house keeping staff i got it late. After 1-2month i got it. V: Are you happy that you got money? M: Yes i am very happy. Vijayalakshmi: Please say your name? Kausalya: I am Kausalya. V: What work are you doing? K: I am not doing any work. Earlier i was doing domestic help. V: How old are you? K: I am 61. V: Are you happy that you got pension? K: I am very happy. It will be helpful in some or the other way. Its been 2 years that i applied for pension. Only now i got it. So i am very happy. Lets ask their experience while doing domestic help. Vijayalakshmi : Whats your name? Kanniga: I am Kanniga. V: Where do you live? K: Thenampattinam. V: What work do you do? K:Domestic help. V: How much salary do you get for 1 hour work? K: There is nothing like salary for 1 hour job. V: We get Rs.80 for 1 hour job. Our union has given a book in which you can write how many hours do you work. We should fill i when we go inside and comeback. How many hours did we work and how actively did we work, we can know all these. We are member in PTS. We are given a domestic worker card. We can write down the work timings. What time do you go for work? K: I go at 9am and come back at 4pm. V: What salary do you get? K: I get Rs.5000. But dont know how much i get per hour. V: It seems like a low pay for the work you do. May be because its a village, they give that salary. You do so many work, how your health feels? K: I feel very tired. They give so much of work, i wash vessels and cloths, the soap is not suiting my hand. V: We have to take care of our health. You can ask them to change the soap. Have asked them? K: I have not. But i will ask. V: Our safety is first. SO if the soap is not suting you ask for another brand soap. (To another person) Have you asked? Person 2: yea. I ask. V: I dialed UK. Did you like it?
