You must be thinking that, in this 15 years I have seen so much of cases. And what is the success rate and how many was failure. This thinking is natural because if we have an alcohol addict in our home we will be definitely curious to know whether this will be useful for us or not. I have been working here from last 15 years and if i have to tell about my first patient, starting from May 3rd 2003 to till now he is clean and without any bad habit and still he is in touch with us. There are many other cases where a person went directly to wine shop after the consultation. But after relapse when they come back to us there are more chances of positive changes. There is one patient who faced loss in all ways. He was the only earning member in the family, had 2 daughters. He came to me in the year 2005. He was in a top position in a private company and had 25 years of work experience. As his career grew, his drinking habit also started growing. After 25 years of work experience and being in top position he had to lose his job. his wife was not working, and she was not that educated where she can go out to work and take care of the family. They had 2 daughters, 1st daughter was waiting for college admission after her 12th and the younger one has finished 10th and was going to 11th. He was alcoholic and due to this, he lost his job. His company gave him 2 choices. Either you resign the job so that you can get a lump of money for your future or we have to send you out of job where you will not get any money. One more important thing was he was undereducated and through his experience, he came to top executive position. He didn't work on his education. This was the main fear factor for him. He was 43 at that time, With his basic education what work will he get, how can he pay his EMI, how can he send his daughters to school and college.
