Hi friends, good morning. Greetings to everyone. I am speaking from Rewari district, Haryana, and today I have come with a very sad piece of news to share with all of you through this platform. As many of you may already know, renowned Urdu poet and ghazal writer Bashir Badr passed away on 28 May 2026 at the age of 91 in Bhopal after a prolonged illness. We pay our heartfelt tribute and respect to him. Through his beautiful ghazals and poetry, he touched the hearts of millions of people. Many of his verses felt so personal that listeners often felt as though he had written them directly from their own emotions and life experiences. His words expressed love, pain, relationships, and human feelings in a way that connected deeply with people across generations. Some of his most famous lines continue to live in the hearts of poetry lovers. His contribution to Urdu literature and ghazal writing is unforgettable, and his legacy will continue through his timeless poetry. He was also honored with the Padma Shri and the Sahitya Akademi Award for his contribution to literature. We pray for peace for his soul and extend our condolences to his family and admirers. Although he is no longer with us physically, Bashir Badr will always remain alive through his poetry, ghazals, and the emotions he gifted to the world.
