Hello, this is Ashok Kumar speaking. Regarding the ongoing discussion about the railways, I would like to suggest an improvement specifically for differently-abled passengers. The end coaches of trains, which often include coaches reserved for disabled passengers, require better infrastructure. The railway platforms should be constructed in such a way that they are level and fully aligned with the train coaches—right from the engine to the last coach. This includes ensuring that platforms are long enough so that passengers, especially those in the end coaches (on either end of the train), can safely and easily disembark. Currently, even at major recognized railway stations, such as Faridabad and Kosikalan in Haryana, there are problems. The trains are so long that sometimes their end coaches stop beyond the platform, leaving passengers—especially differently-abled individuals—struggling to find proper footing while disembarking. Trains often stop for just two minutes, and by the time such passengers find solid ground or a platform edge, the train may already start moving again. While middle coaches like S7 and general compartments may stop alongside the platform, the end coaches frequently do not. Therefore, I believe it should be mandatory for the entire section of the train used by passengers to be supported by a platform. This will help prevent difficulties and ensure that no major accidents occur.
