"Thank you very much, Ashak Ji, for coming on our platform and sharing this very serious and surprising issue. This is something we all need to think about and discuss because what has happened to you today can definitely happen to anyone. That’s why it's essential to pay attention to cybercrime. Thank you again for sharing your problem with everyone through our platform. Now look, sir, a cybercrime helpline number has been started — it's 1930. Just like banks have branches, similarly, cybercrime branches have been created all over India. So yes, this is a central number — 1930. But the issue is that sometimes, when you dial this number, you get connected to 112 or ambulance services, or you try to call somewhere, and it connects somewhere else. But when I dial from UP, it goes straight to the office. Also, sometimes the cybercrime people don’t even take complaints. The name is written in big letters — 'Cyber HelpLine', but many times it just remains a name. It doesn't function properly when needed. A website has also been created — www.cyberhelpline.in or cybercrimehelpline.gov.in. Those who have smartphones can access it easily, but those who don’t, can’t use it. And these people only accept complaints within 24 to 48 hours of the incident. If you report later than that, they suggest using the website instead. So, if something like this is happening to you, my suggestion is that you should go to your nearest police station, file a complaint (FIR), and then you can find out which cyber branch is closest to you — whether in Gurgaon or elsewhere — and get their contact numbers. You can go there and file the complaint. As a friend, and as a younger brother, this is the advice I can give. As for the 1800 number — there is no such operational helpline as far as I know."
