Rajesh from West Singhbhum called up to talk about the MNREGA awareness rallies. He said that the MNREGA Kaam Maango Abhiyaan Padyaatra has started in his district and is gaining a lot of attention as it moves forward. In this rally, people from all the villages, irrespective of their caste or creed can apply in this employment scheme and demand their right to get employed. The awareness rally was also attended by the Zila Pramukh, the Gram Pradhaan and other important people present in the village. Along with them, many non profit organisations also joined hands in this noble cause and helped people get aware of their own rights. Also, Sighbhum’s Khaadi Gram Udyog , and other organisations organised this rally in many villages from Sadar District to spread awareness in the among people in remote places. Also, in places such as Kunduka, many rallies of the same sort were organised. In some other districts, alongwith MNREGA rallies a lot of conferences were also organised. A lot of things related to the MNREGA law were told to the people present there, and so they were made aware of their own rights. A lot of other workers were also associated with the rallies and tried their best to make it a success.
