Lalchand Mahto called from Nawadih to inform about the breeze of agricultural boom blowing in Uperghat region. With support from the agriculture department both Women and Men have been able to meet a sustainable agricultural produce from last two years. This also remained a reason behind the low rate of migration from this region. The suitable weather too has added to the flourishing farming practices. The farmers are busy growing various crops in the fields around the year. He concluded saying that the farmers are happy seeing the green produce in their fields. The farmers here are also benefited by drip irrigation facilities provided by the irrigation department. A few group of farmers have requested the officials for installing lift irrigation facilities to be used in their fields.
