Manaswini tripathy from from Phulbani ,Kandhamal saying about one local recipe with green leafy veggies called atika podi with broken rice . First clean the leaves and keep aside. Put a pan on stove. Pour some rice water and water on that pot. Add some turmeric powder and salt as per taste. Let it to be boiled. Then add half or 1 cup of properly washed broken rice and leaves it for 10 to 15 minutes until it will cooked properly. Then add leafy greens by chopping these. Let it to be cooked for 2 to 3 minutes. Then turn off the stove. Then add dried mango or tomato for sourness. This taste very good also good for us. Then make tempering with oil, mustard seeds, mashed garlics, dried chilies, curry leaves etc. This is now ready for serve. In our village most of the people use this as a healthy dish.
