I am Marithangamma from Karasalpatti. My son's name should be added in smart card. Where to come for that? What all documents should I carry? Please tell that. Reply: If you want add name in smart for the person who is above 5 years you need, adhar card of the person. If the person is below 5 years you can add the name by birth certificate. And give to ration shop and register via Sales Node Machine. Also you can submit the same document at e-service centre and add the name.

I am calling from Metamalai Its been 13 years of our marriage. Till now we have not received our ration card. What are the documents required to apply for ration card.  How to get ration card? If newly married people are going into a separate family then get the cancellation document of your name from your parents ration card from zonal supply officer. Then apply for new ration card with your zonal supply officer where you are going to reside now. Documents to be attached along with the application are - housing tax document or, electricity bill, address proof, voter ID, with passport size photo. After filing it, concerned officer will directly and inquire about it. Within 1 or 2 months you will be getting new ration card.
