Dr. Jaya: The name of the deadly virus which is creating Covid 19 disease is Corona virus. The real name of it is SAR COVI 2. That is, Severe Acute Respiratory syndrome, Corona Virus 2. Few years back a pandemic which affected lungs that is SARS - Severe Acute Respiratory syndrome has attacked people. Many people may remember this. This is one such virus. Thats why it is called SARS Covi 2. Since this virus cases started in the year 2019, it is called as Covid -19. Corona Virus Disease 2019 - That why it is called as Covid 19. Leone: Dr. Please tell us why is it named as Corona Virus? Dr. Jaya: When we see this virus under Electron Microscope, it looks like a crown which a King wears. So it is called as Corona Virus. In Latin language Corona means Crown. Leone: Is corona a single virus or it is a family of virus? Dr. Jaya: So far Scientist have found that there are 7 types of corona virus in the environment. Among them 4 are the corona virus which affects usually. When 4 of these affects us we get mild cold. The remaining 3 virus will cause severe disease in our body. I am Sangeetha from Kotthamedu. I was working in company. Before Corona I have attended gram sabha meeting. We asked for kids play ground, library. Also asked about adhar card, farmers card. Gram sabha is useful to know the facilities given by Govt.
I am Krishnaveni studying in class 12. My school is far from my school but i feel going to school and studying there is better than online school. If we want t study we should go to school maintain social distancing, wash hands, use sanitiser. If we follow that we can go to school. Govt gave Rs2500 for Pongal. Its useful in this corona time.

I feel thankful that the Govt gave this money. We can celebrated Pongal in this time of joblessness. Last year Govt gave Rs.1000 but this year Govt gave Rs.2500. Its really useful. Govt also gave rice, jaggery, saree and shirt. But many people in our village dont have ration card. I am a cooley worker. I get Rs.1200 weekly. This month I didnt receive salary. I got pongal gift from ration shop. Everyone who have ration card has got it.
I am Mohana from Kumaran colony. I am living in this village from last 8 years. I have participated in legal clinic. From last 7 years we are applying for OAP for my mother in law. But she didnt get it. So we are planning to get it through legal clinic. There is no street light in our street. We have given the petition for the same. I am member in child welfare group.
I am Seetha from Kadathur. I am living in this village from last 10 years. I dont have ration card. I have applied twice. Recently my card was rejected because of no adhar card. Earlier it was rejected because of not giving gas bill. We need to give adhar card, house tax bill, voter id, gas bill. We failed to give adhar card for my youngest son. We gave only his birth certificate so the application was rejected. Once i get adhar card for youngest son I will apply ration card.

Saroja and Thanagamani from Milmedu village says health checking camp was conducted in our village and BP, sugar levels were checked. 15 people checked their BP and sugar levels in our village. BP and sugar is normal for them but for some people it was high and for some it was low. Also diet chart was given to all. Medical camp was useful for them.
