All dalit associations have made it as a historical event. Viduthalai Siruthai Party head and MLA Mr. Thirumavalan and K. Jagan Head of Adi Tamilar party, Dalit Tamil Group head Nagai Thiruvalluvan, Nataraj from Ambedkar union were present in the meeting. 2 inter caste marriage were conducted in this meeting. 1) BSNL contract workers have not received salary from last 10 months. Due to this one of the contract worker lost his life due to cardiac arrest. 2) Indian Student Union conducted protested in Tanjore Govt Arts college insisting on providing basic facilities, giving scholarship on time. 3) All India strike was conducted on January 8th condemning the anti people act of central Govt. Corporation has terminated 20 sanitary workers for joining this strike. Insisting on giving them job CITU and sanitary workers conducted protest.
