Water insufficient issue.
Anjali Dalei, from Nalco Basti, Ward 16, shared through IVRS that there is a major problem with water supply in their settlement. They have visited the office, but the officials did not respond properly. Every time they contact the department, they are told that the issue will be resolved, but there has been no action taken. Water is currently supplied for less than 1 hour per day, despite the government's declaration of 24-hour water supply. The drainage was previously cleaned, but the waste was only dumped at the roadside, leading to accidents. Anjali stresses the importance of water for maintaining their lifestyle and requests that the WATCO division provide sufficient water.

Nirmala Swain, an elderly woman from Dhirikuti Sahi in Ward 11, shared her concerns through IVRS regarding the improper waste management in their area. Although the waste collection vehicle arrives daily, the community members are not segregating their waste. Consequently, the waste collection vehicle is unable to collect the unsegregated waste, leading community members to dispose of their waste on the roadside. This improper disposal has resulted in mosquito breeding, negatively impacting the community's health. She wants to highlight the urgent need for proper awareness and educate on waste segregation to create a healthier environment for everyone.
Sukanti Soren, a sanitation worker from Dhirikuti Basti, shared through an interactive voice response system (IVRS) that she was forced to do sanitation work because her husband, who was a heavy drinker, had taken all her salary at the start of the month. This made it difficult for her to manage expenses for the entire month. Consequently, she was unable to use the toilet in her home and resorted to open defecation. Due to her husband's behavior, no one in the community was willing to help her construct a toilet, even though the government would provide funds after its construction. Due to this, she is completely unable to maintain her personal hygiene, safety, and privacy.
