Information On Relief Fund For Handloom Workers: Du to lock down many kinds of workers livelihood is affected. Considering this just like giving relief fund to unorganized workers, 1,03,343 handloom workers who are members in handloom workers welfare board are given Rs.1000 as relief fund in 2 installments. Now the Govt has decided to give relief fund to the workers who are not members in hand loom workers welfare board. The list will be tallied with the list of hand loom workers who are getting the free electricity benefit. Orders has been passed to give Rs.2000 through Dept of handloom director. So all deserving hand looms workers can apply through hanlooms and textiles dept and get benefited.

People were suffering without rice because of lockdown. Muneeswari, Tamilselvi and Mariyammal from Amirpalayam village has got welfare scheme benefit. Tulasi and Nagammal from KKR nagar they didnt renew it, hence they didnt get the benefit. Mutthumuniyammal and Sundar raj from Metupatti Old street are yet to renew their cards. So even they didnt get the welfare benefits.

I am Semmalar union incharge calling from Chellayyapuram. Its been more than 2.5 months that lock down has announced in out village. But only 1 month we were given rice lentils and Rs.1000. When we asked the shop they said rice is yet to come, we will give it only when the rice comes. After that lentils and sugar was given. But rice is yet to come. If this is going to be like this how can we manage? So we request Govt to give rice to chellayapuram panchayath people.

Announcement On Relief Fund For Hairdressers: TN Govt has announced to give Rs.2000 for Hairdressers who have not registered in welfare board. Lock down to implemented to control corona virus. 14667 Hairdressers will get Rs.1000 as Relief Fund in 2 stages. Rules of Central govt didnt allow Hairdressers to do their work. Hairdressers who didnt register in their welfare board will be given relief fund just like other workers. As per the rule workers involved in hair dressing in village and cities should contact VO, and zonal heads. Officers will review the petition and they will refer it to collector. Collector will take action and given Rs.2000 non member Hairdressers.

Last week work done: 1) 2nd stage relief material was given to poor and needy people. 2) Income and expenditure account was submitted to coordinator. 3) Data collection was done about people searching for job, people who are studying TNPSC, list of sanitary, list of child labours, branch incharges, future women leaders in Palayapatti, Jawadpatti, Vagarai, Idayanvalasu. 4) List of people who attended unorganized workers conference held on 02-02-2020 was collected and 40 branch incharges name was selected informed to management. 5) Number of callers from 7th May to 13th May is 560, 28 people recorded by pressing 3, 28 people spoke y pressing star. 6) This week plans are, data collection as per table 18, preparation work for new cards and renewal of welfare card, joining new members to union, discussion about problems of opening TASMAC shops, concentrating more on general problem, NK popularization work.

Both the workers attended the meeting and last week work done was reviewed. 428 people called last week and 14 people recorded by pressing star button, 5 people have recorded and spoken by pressing 3. 447 people have helped to popularize NK radio. 2) 216 members data has been collected. 3) As planned 3 branch data collection is done. 4) Next week plans are : data collection to be done in 3 branches, Make 300 people to call NK radio, income and expenditure account should be submitted to respective branch offices. Immediately start working for new membership and renewal of membership, e-form should be submitted to welfare board so need to audit the work done.
