Govt is giving Rs.3000 for district news reporters who are working in corona virus time. But state wide the reporters who are working in Taluks are not getting any salary. But still they are collecting corona information and people welfare news. Govt has not taken any steps for their welfare. So concerned authorities should give relief to Ottanchathiram Taluk reporters.

Nagarathinam Interviewing Palaniammal - She is a mill worker. She gets Rs.300 as daily wage. PF and ESI is being deducted. From last 1 month she is at home. She has received the salary for the days she has worked. She has received relief materials from ration shop.

1) Chennai High court says, Those who are willing to give relief materials should give the information to concerned Police station before 48 hours. When going to distribute the materials other than driver only 3 people can go. 2) Central Govt has passed orders to Deputy Secretary and higher officials to come to office and work. 3) Central Govt has told High court that if Indians stuck in foreign lands brought back to India, the risk of Corona may exceed. 4) All semester exams has been postponed to Next academic year. 5) Andra Govt announces to give Rs.2000 for migrant workers those who are staying under quarantine camps.
Mahalakshmi Interviewing Suganya - Suganya is from Viralipatti. She is a construction worker. She didnt get Rs.1000 and provisions from ration card because she doesnt have ration card.
I am Ponnusamy from TLRF. To tell about this fire crackers unit accident, 3 people died on the same day. We found that 15 years old child labour Karthik was working in that company. After 4 days of the incident 3 workers who were burnt more than 40% lost their life. So the number of people who lost the life was 6. There are 3 types of rules and regulations for fire cracker companies accidents. One is Nagpur license, Another is Chennai license and other one is RDO or Collector license. Those companies which has RDO license it should manufacture small crackers which can be burst on the floor. But in this fire crackers company all the crackers were fancy crackers and it is a sky shot crackers. This is against the law. It has more gun powders and they use iron knife, not using rubber sheets on the floor. And for the profit of contractors, they have 8 to 12 workers in a room where only 4 people should work. They force people to work. Chinnakamampatti accident is the effect of forcing people to work for contractors profit. Viruthungar Semmalar union and TLRF has conducted direct review in the place of incident. We started taking legal efforts for the victims. The incident happened on 19th Feb 2020. They said even the contractors are affected in this incident so no relief will be given other than 1 lakh rupees. Semmalar union and TLRF didnt agree for this. Because this has happened due to the negligence and profit of contractors. So without any mercy the victims family should get funeral benefit of Rs.50000 and 5 lakh relief fund. We spoke to the owners twice and after discussed. Layer of firecracker unit spoke to Semmalar union and TLRF incharges. Before 20 Feb 2020 evening, we arranged to give Rs. 50000 for funeral and relief of Rs. 5 lakh. Our demands for this fire cracker unit accident was filing murder case on Sharanya fire crackers unit owner and contractor and imprison them. This is the main demand. Till now no owners or contractors are imprisoned in fire cracker unit accident case. That is the reason for the repeatation of such incidents and poor workers are being killed. Safety equipments should be provided in fire cracker manufacturing units. Company and Govt should provide safe working environment. And actions should be taken against the companies which are not following the rules. License of the company should be banned. These are our main demands. Another thing is Govt thinks, murders can e continued if the money is given. Contractors and owners are practicing it. People are becoming victims of it. To control such things, it should taken away from private individuals and given to Govt. And Govt should give insurance in the companies where more than 20 people are working. By keeping many such demands forward we believe that we will improve the life of fire cracker workers.
I am Sangali from Kallikudam village. Due to corona livelihood of middle class is highly affected. They are suffering without food and cloths. Govt has passed order saying they will give Rs.1000 for labour welfare. That is not sufficient for us. We need Rs. 6000 for 1 month. Rs.1000 given by you is not sufficient for food too. Govt should help for the welfare of middle class people.
I am Mariyammal from Ambedkar union. In Kotthayam village people who are diabetic and people who take medicine on daily basis will buy medicine once in a month. Now they are not in a situation to buy it. Some people are going and buying it. Old age people cant go. I already recorded about it. Now BP and sugar is checked at our doorstep and told us they will give us medicine. I am happy for that. We are following lock down.
