I am Adv. George Marx from TLRF. NK and Adi tamilar union has filled a case. We all know about corona effect. Frontline workers, nurses, doctors are prone to this corona. Mr. Velmurugan was working as sanitation worker in Govt. Rajaji hospital Madurai from last 18 years. He was working on daily wage basis. He was not give any permanent job order. The case related to this is on in High court Madurai. He was posted a job in corona ward and h lost his life due to corona. Even after many fights and protests, we were not able to get his family any compensation because he was not a permanent worker. We have not received any proper answer from officers. Deceased Velmurugan's wife filled case and on 24th Feb the case was investigated. The case was investigated under justice Parthiban. He has postponed the case or 2 weeks and asked the Govt to give reply within 2 weeks. We have filled case to get compensation and job for a family member. Hope we will get the justice at the earliest.
