I am Adv. George Marks from TLRF. After lock down due to corona, unorganised and organised workers life is highly affected. Even before this, The Govt has revised the labours into 4 major laws which we all got it after so much of protest. Orissa, UP, MP states has started doing things which are violating labour rights. 8 hours work law was got after so much of protest. But nw by taking the excuse of corona they started to have talk of increasing work timing to 12 hours per day. Labours should bounce back against this. Only unorganised and organised workers have suffered in this corona time without food and money. No owners got affected with this. Now the whole burden is put on workers. Govt is started din the works of Labour law amendment. This is what UP CM Yogi Adityanath has spoke. Already workers are working for more than 70 hours per week. Now increasing work time will affect the workers life.
