I am Saraswati from Kelambakkam. Today we have arranged for meeting in Samathuvapuram. We heard the problems of people working in 100 days work scheme. Also told them about renewing the welfare card. 47 people attended the meeting.
I am Saraswathi from Kelambakkam. People from Mambakkam, Melakottai, Periyar nagar LLR nagar participated in the protest. We spoke to the workers about their work, wages etc. 100 days work was made 150 days but it was not implemented. Now we are requesting to give work for 200 days. Salary varies from Rs. 150 to Rs. 170. We protested to give same salary to all. The protest was successful. We will get the result in 2-3 days.
I am Geetha from Chinnambedu. PTS has put forth 10 demands for 100 days scheme. First is for the continuity of 100 days job and secondly it should be made as 200 days. And 100 days wage should reach to workers. We have 10 demand like this. By next week 100 days work will start in Chinnambedu. I will meet them. I went to market and people spoke supporting us. In Agaram there are 90 workers work in 100 days scheme. They said they will support us.

Earlier in gated community apartments they asked us not to come. Now they are asking us to come. Today our protest was published in Youtube channel. Even interviews were given. I believe that our demands have reached the Govt and i hope Govt will fulfill it.
I am Pushparani from Vadanimalai. Shenbagavalli from Vysarpadi spoke and told tht owmne are suffering more at home during corona time. Women has more work inside the house than outside the work. Private finance companies are asking for money. India bank, Indian Overseas bank is giving 2 months time to repay loan. But these private finance companies are coming to door steps. From the month of March there is no work for anyone. It can be for construction worker or domestic helper, small vendors, road side vendors everyone are affected. Private finance companies are forcing to repay loan at any cost. Women get these loan to start small business. But these finance companies are forcing to repay the loan on correct date. Govt should do something for this. Everyone will repay it. But they should give time of 6 months to repay it. TN Govt should find solution for this. And it will be good if TN Govt gives Rs.5000 to each card holders. Just with rice and lentils we cannot do anything. Every family should be given Rs.5000 and all small scale business holders should be provided with loan facility.
