I am Geetha from Chinnambedu area. People of Chinnambedu is doing 100 days work. None of the MNREGA workers got March month payment. People hear are struggling.
I am Sumathi from PTS. Kacchifathima is in Perungudi area. She said there are almost 20 people without ration card. There are some newly married people and some dont have ration card in village too, I have asked for the list. She is working for corona awareness. She i talking to people now. She said she will make a list and give it to PTS.
I am Sumathi from Ambattur. I have joined 25 people to union. I asked whether any relief help is available for 25 people. Mam said only for construction workers the relief fund is given. So I gave documents of 5 people. Other 20 people are asking for relief fund. It will be good if Govt helps them too.
Veni Interview With Domestic Workers Savithri - She work in 4 houses in Anna nagar. Due to Corona the owners asked her to not to come for work. She is yet to get the salary. She has lost her husband and she has 2 daughters. She has no one to support. She has ration rice and she is managing with that.
Vijayalakshmi Interview With Domestic Worker - Her name is Dhanam. From last 10 years she is working as domestic helper. Some students are staying here and she works there. She gets Rs. 800 to 1800 as salary in different houses. Her kids are studying in Govt school. She lost her husband. She didnt get any bonus for Diwali and Pongal. There is a huge competition in this work. She says Some people are working for Rs. 300 also.
I am calling from Pottheri. I am working as electrician in an apartment. Cooley workers, construction workers, small vendors are getting affected due to this. Central and State Govt should take immediate action. Govt has told that they will give Rs. 1000 per card. It will be good if they can increase the amount. Price of vegetables has increase, it will be great if Govt takes some action. Everyone stay safe at home.
Geetha Interviewing Auto Driver Nithish. He is driving auto from last 3 years. Daily he gets profit of Rs. 1000. But now due to corona he is struggling to buy diesel. Unable to buy food items for home. He requests Govt to give Rs. 2000 for the food expenses.
