According to today's news, these 300 families were residing in this area for past 40 years. All of a sudden because of one company's entry all these 300 families are getting evicted. Those who are opposing this, lathi charge is being done without seeing whether they are men, women or kids. With the support of Government, they are doing this. Definitely we should support people. One girl hanged herself another girl burn herself now she is in a government hospital. Her condition is very serious. We the women workers should raise our voice against this. We should tell this to every one.

Hello this is Dhanalakshmi from Pulikundram, Kanchipuram dist. Today we had a discussion here. People are worried about increased cost of living and increased bus fare. They also shared that daily we need to spend 100 rupees to go to work. We are unable to run family with remaining money. We are worried about our future. How can we afford for school and college fees? I have Chitra along with me she wants to share few words. Chitra: I am going to talk about bus fare hike. We are really finding it difficult. We are spending Rs.10 for just 2-3kms. We are unable to send our kids to school. Government should take some action on this.
Hello this is Karpagam from Perumbakkam. I work as domestic helper. For domestic helpers there is no ESI or PF facility. Even if there is no PF facility its okay but it will be good if we get ESI facility. If we are not feeling well and not going for work for 10 days we will lose 10 days salary and we need to spend money if we go to private hospitals. If we go to govt hospitals the process itself takes loads of time. If we get ESI benefit, we get leave and good hospital facility. I feel bad that only garment workers are getting ESI benefit but domestic helpers are not getting it. SIlvanus: It is very honest request. What we can suggest is, approach GAFWU union and follow their instructions. They can help you in this.
