I am Dhanalakshmi. In UK already Sudha and Manjula has already registered about SLAM company. In SLAM company has physically assaulted Bharathan and Mani and total of 4 workers and sent them out. They came to our union and we filed a case in ACL. Later we also filed case in High court. Daily workers are facing physical and sexual assault in work place. We had filed a case that there is no ICC committee and it should be formed to give safety to women workers. Now the verdict has come out in favor of us. The verdict has been sent to Dist collector, Labour commissioner, Revenue dept and SLAM company and also to internal minister. Within 3 months the committee should be formed and proper decision should be given for this problem. This is a proud moment for our union. Please spread it to other women workers.
I am Dhanalakshmi from GAFWU. Annadurai has arranged for a meeting in new area named Dumilkuppam. me and Palani bharathi attended the meeting. 30 people attended the meeting joined our union. They said that more than thousands of domestic helpers are there in that area. We are planning to visit again and join more members. Sunitha is talking to the people there to join them in union.

I am Pushparani from Vadanilmalai. On 12th Monday, evening 6pm PTS meeting was organised in ECR, Mahabalipuram's Pattipulam village. More 50 women and youths of village participated in the meeting. Sumathi, Palani bharathi, Dhanalakshmi and Savitha were present in the meeting. They explained about the benefits of PTS and welfare board. They also explained about Urimai kural. How to record in Urimai kural, how to express our opinions was explained in the meeting. People welcomed it so well. We also chose a incharge for that area and told her to advertise. Sakthimathi was appointed as incharge. --------------------------------- I am Savitha. Monday we conducted a meeting in Pattipulam under the leadership of Pushparani. Sumathi, Palani bharathi, Dhanalakshmi from PTS were present. I was presemt on behalf of UK. Many people participated in the meeting. They are construction workers. They are not aware about welfare board. We explained them about PTS and UK. They said they were not about it so far. Only now they came to know about it and it will be useful for them. We asked them to register about UK. Since they were recording for the first time, they were little scared. But once one person started doing it, everyone started recording. They said daily they will call and record.

I ahve already told that there are more young widows in Thiruporur area. We have already filled the form and kept it ready along with Palani bharathi madam. PTS is doing so many things and achieving great things. But my opinion is PTS should decide to visit certain area on specific date. We can arrange for the meeting. You should bring the young widow form and pension form. Fill the form and give it to welfare board. This will give good nae to the union. Its a good strategy to advertise our union. Many people will call UK. We have to take effort and do it. People should register what benefit they have got. If we help people from village it will be good for union's growth.
