I thought just like schooling, even studying medicine will be easier. But studying huge books which are in english was difficult for me. Because i studied in Tamill medium. 1st year I failed in exam. But I wanted to become doctor. And I studied hard. At this time me and my mother face many problems. One day I wrote my exam. I never wanted to show my poverty to anyone. So I usually avoid going out with my friends. One day after my exam, all my friends decided to go to Mahabalipuram beach. And they all decided to take me also. They forced me and took me along with them. After playing for a while they all started to drink alcohol. But I never had the habit of drinking alcohol. I didn't wanted to become like my father. So I never wanted to get addicted to any habit. That day after a while we all started to from beach. I dont know to drive bike so I had to go with my friend who was drunk. And we met with an accident. We both were brought the hospital where we were studying. But my friend lost his life while on the way to the hospital. Doctor said that I may die within 2 to 3 days. But my mother didn't give up on me. I was supplied food through pipe for 1 month. Initially, nurses did this work. Later they were fed up of this work.
I cried once. It was just one week for my 10th board exam. My mother got high fever. She was unable to get up. We had no option for food. I was in a dilemma whether to write the exam or take care of my mother. I chose to take care of my mother. I started going for work. It was 2 days of my work i met a teacher Mr. Arumugam who teaches in town school. He heard my story and helped me by giving money for my schooling and for my mother's treatment. I wrote exam. I got 484Marks out of 500. I topped in my school. Arumugam sir helped me to finish my 11th and 12th. He gave free education in the school where he was working. He provided free books, notebooks, hostel, food everything. Whenever i go to meet my mom, i used to help her. I got good marks in 12th. For medical entrance i got cut off marks of 298 out of 300. I got medical seat in Madras medical college. EVerybody were talking about me. Everybody started sending their kids to school. For my further study My villagers collected Rs. 5000 and gave me. I am Thankful to everyone. There was a DGP in Namakkal. He dropped me in my college and helped me financially. He is a very nice person. He has helped old age homes, orphanages and many other. Not only him, he also involved his children, family and friends to help needy people.
