I am Vijayalakshmi from eri scheme. I went to kadalur dist yesterday. The village is Pudukuppam. Earlier minibusses used to come. But now they have stopped it. The villagers are struggling a lot to travel. Many are going by walk. those who have vehicle they go by vehicle. We went by walk. The village is really far. If we walk it take 4 hours. Now they have stopped mini bus facility. I asked a villager about the bus facility, she said, earlier it used to come. but now they have stopped it due to a problem with MLA. Can we do something through urimai kural? If we can do anything whom can we approach?

I am raejesawri from chennai. Kani spoke about water. It was really good to hear. If e save rain water e will never face water problem.

I like all the programs of urimai kural. Especially on water problem. Not only water we should save everything for e.g. electricity. If we save these, everyone can use it.

I am Vijayalakshmi from eri scheme. Drainage water is stagnant in our area. We have only one way to enter our area. There is not ulternative route to enter our area. They have put jalli stones on road but even then the drainage water is stagnant. School going kids, working poeople every one are struggling. If they clean on daily basis water will not be stagnant. But they are cleaning on alternate day basis. Those who can go by bike they can go but for those who go by walk it is difficult for them to walk. Drainage water is stagnant and it became like lake. Nobody can walk. Please help us.

I am Vimala from Mogappair. I hear yesterday's programs. It was really useful. Kani's talk on water scarcity was good. All the information were useful. We know all these information only because of joining PTS. Urimai kural platform is really useful to share our thoughts. I would like to thank Urimai kural too. In Madurai district a lady named chinnapillai started a group of labours and she was head of the group. She supported poor ladies. She has been awarded and given Rs. 1lakh cash prize. She has started a women's group and helped many. She has become a rolemodel for many. Through urimai kural we are able to know such news.

Vijayalakshmi: Was adocate present there? Shanthi: Yes she was present. 60 people were present. Viajayalakshmmi: What did you understand there? Shanthi: We work so understood what all rights we have. Even we all should protest. Even you should join with them for protests. After joining union we are getting awareness.

There was ameeting in mogappair eri scheme. Advocate madam was present there. She explained about the laws. And also explained about leave, bonus. There are many laws but we were not aware of it. We are clear now and we can ask the owners to increase money. Many time when we ask 10000 they give 5000. In one place i asked for 5000 and they gave only 3000. I was working for 8 years. I said I dont want that money. After joining union, this year I have asked for bonus and got it.

Vijayalakshmi: Janaki, are going for work? Janaki: Yes i am working. Vijaylakshmi: Are you getting salary properly? Janaki: I get Rs1000 to wash vessels and Rs.500 to clean the house. Vijaylakshmi: How many minutes will it take to finish the work? Janaki: It takes 2 hours. The amount is actually very less and they are not giving any bonus or leave too. Vijayalkshmi: We are in Union, next time I should not hear such things. Janaki: They wont give leave also. If I ask leave they will say monthly 4 sundays you take leave and many times you go saying you have to attend meeting and wont turn ack saying you were late. Vijayalakshmi: Yes we should tell your owner that you attend union meeting. so that they will also know that you are aware of current trend. WHat else problem you have? Janaki: I get bonus in only 1 house. Salary is Rs.2000, but there 6 members in that house. Compared to number of members the salary is very less.
