Earlier we were not considered but through the efforts of union we have got an acceptance in the society. This is a great victory for us. In the same way we all should ask and get our bonus and leave. Never work like a slave. Even Rs.39 is not enough. We should fight and get more amount. Everyone please listen to Urimai kural and join the union. Only if you join the union you will get some awareness and knowledge.

I am Vijayalakshmi from AkR nagar. I am working as domestic helper. From 2016 i am getting bonus. Even this yer everyone has given the bonus and also given leave on Saturday and sunday. As we have got bonus from everyone we are really happy. We are going to celebrate Diwali happily.

As said by Vijayalakshmi sis, domestic helpers have oth advantage and disadvantages. The one who goes to company for work they have to do their house hold work and take care of children at evening after coming back from work. but we can come early and do the work. But when the company workers leave the organization they will get an amount but we domestic helpers will not get any amount when we leave work. And at resent we dont have PF and ESI facilities. It will be really useful if PTS helps us in getting it.
Vimala Wishes For The Trip. I heard Naal Sollum seithi. They spoke about the importance of salt. Usually, we use salt for taste. But they told us how important is it. In IVR they also spoke that salary for tribal people is Rs.72. Even if they work 30 days a month, they can earn more than Rs2500. Don't know what will they do with that money. Here we are asking Rs.70 per hour. SO i wish that tribal people should reasonable amount. We have asked many people to use urimai kural. We have asked them to register their growth after joining PTS in Urimai kural.
Veni: SIs, all are going to different types of works, but why did you choose domestic help? From how many years are you doing this work?? Viji: I am doing this work from past 10 years. During that time, everyone in our area were doing domestic helpers jobs. Nobody was educated and nobody was their t guide us. And moreover if you go to company work if you go in the morning, you will come back only in the evening. But in domestic help, you can come back home after 3-4 hours of work and take care of your kids. Thats why we all went for domestic helper work. Veni: Yea sis. Even in our area many people are going for thiswork. THey say, they can do the vessel washing work in 10 different houses and come back home and do their own household work and as well as take care of the kids. And moreover, we dont need any special training to learn all these works. And also its less time-consuming work and we get a good amount. Viji: But you said we dont need any special training for domestic helper work. That's wrong. In our union, Sanathanamari madam and Sumathi madam gave us training for 2 weeks. In that training, they trained us on how much money do we have to charge, what amount can be charged for each type of work? We need to ask money according to the work. We have to work there as well as go back home and do our household work. After this Urimai lural i am noting the time i am entering, and what time i am leaving the work. If its taking too much of time, i will ask directly that its getting late. So there is no work without any training. Veni: Thank you sis.
