B: I am working in a garments factory in Tambaram. Almost 500 workers are working there. They are not allowing us to have our lunch. within 10 minutes they are asking us to get up and start working. If we continue eating without listening to them, they are scolding with bad words. We all are struggling alot. Not only that they said its 8 hours work but they are getting 1hours work from us. And they are touching unnecessarily while talking. All are adjusting with that but i am unable to adjust with that. Anyways you are my neighour and more than that you are a member in union so thought of sharing it with you. What to do for this problem? P: Ok dear. MAny time i spoke to you atleast now you came to me. B: What to do sis. Even we have family and kids. We cant come by leaving that job. You are protesting for so many people. But in that company, they are not allowing to join the union. You know Elizabeth in your union, since she was there in the union they sent her out of work. I was scared, thats why i didn't come here.
