On coming Monday March 5th we are having the largest protest in Tiruvallur. We are protesting to put forth our demands. Our demands are, • The Labour Welfare Board should act properly. For that, in Government’s budget 5% fund should be reserved! • The livelihood program should be properly brought under the labor department! • The subsidy amounts of labor welfare should also be raised! • Free bus passes should be given to women workers immediately! • The fixed minimum wages should be given to garment workers without any deductions! • Young widows should be given an amount of Rs.3500 every month! • 100 days work(NREGA) should be properly given to village women! • As promised by the Government all TASMAC shops must be closed immediately! • According to the increased cost of living, domestic helpers must be given housing facility, job security and ILO (189) act must be implemented! • The policy of shifting to the Chennai suburbs should be stopped, the women who have already been shifted they must be given stable employment(fixed placement), for education up to 1 year monthly Rs.5000 must be given! We all should participate in this protest without fail. Let us voice together for our rights.
