When MArch month comes, the first thing to come in our mind is "International women's day". Let us know from when women's day is celebrated and why is this celebrated. In 18th century. i.e 1857 even in developed countries like America, women were at home taking care of children and doing household works. It is believed that only men should go to work. Many of the women did not get the primary education too. For the first time, women were allowed to work in factories, coal mines and companies. Even during that time, even if women worked equal to men they were paid less. In 1857 March 8th all women joined together and protested. But they didnt get any recognition. They continued to protest and during 1910 conference on women's rights was conducted. Many participated from different countries. Not only that the protest happened in 1920, in Russia's St.peters city a women name Alexandra Serendra insisted to celebrate International women's day on March 8th. In 1975 it was officially declared as International women's day. In many countries its a holiday. With so much of effort we have got this day as Women's day. Can we all celebrate this day happily?
