Friends, if you have a ration card and you have been taking benefits for a long time, but you are facing injustice—such as not getting ration at all, or getting less ration, or getting ration but only after giving bribes, or being asked to come again and again—sometimes they say “come tomorrow,” “come day after tomorrow,” some say “there is too much crowd,” or “there is dust,” and say they will give ration later. Because of this, you have to make many trips. Or if you are getting less ration—like five kilos less, seven kilos less, two kilos less, or any amount less—and you are not getting the full entitled ration, then for this a helpline number has been issued: 14457. We had recorded this number one month ago, and now this same number is being recorded again through our voice so that it reaches everyone, including those who did not receive it earlier. That is why this information is being recorded again. If this number—14457, the ration card helpline number—has reached you, then through this number, please tell us: did you get any benefit? Was your complaint acted upon or not? This audio recording is important so that people can understand whether action is taken on complaints or not, and whether solutions are provided. Those people who have used this number to file a complaint are requested to please record and share whether your issue was resolved or not, whether you benefited or not, and whether your complaint was taken seriously. This will encourage more people to use this number and register their complaints. I am saying this because if any injustice is happening to you regarding ration cards, it can be resolved and a solution can be found through this process.
