The NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) board is now asking all students applying for high school and intermediate exams to submit a Delhi-based affidavit. Without a document that proves a connection to Delhi—like an ID proof, caste certificate, or residence proof—their form might get rejected. I, too, have applied and was forced to get an affidavit made in Delhi. I apologize for having to say this, but this situation is very difficult, especially for students from poor families who don’t have the means or access to get such documents made in Delhi. It feels like this is an injustice to education. I appeal to you to take this issue to the relevant authorities and raise awareness so that such requirements can be reconsidered. Education should be accessible without such barriers. Also, I have submitted an online form for classes. Could you please let me know when the process for those classes will be completed?
