Shakal Dev Khuswah from Girdih called to talk about the importance of education for Women. He said in a country like India, literacy and gender related issues are closely related to each other. The state at which women finds herself today is an outcome of discrimination that dates back to many decades. Favoring a boy and restricting a girl child from getting the basic primary education has transformed the gender based discrimination through generations to a serious problem today. He also commented if a mother is educated then she will be able to imbibe the same cultures, values to her progenies, or else her very existence will come to a hold.
