Dengue awareness song designed and recorded by Ms. Debasmita Swain, Transwoman from Kalinga Studio Kiner Basti, Ward 23. She highlighted that we must promote cleanliness and proper waste management to reduce the impact of vector-borne diseases.
Lalita Kinner, residing in Phuleswari Basti, Ward 49, reported through IVRS that for the past 15 days, rainwater has been stagnant on the roadside due to the lack of a drainage system. This has greatly affected their daily lives, especially as they are daily wage workers who are unable to go to work due to the stagnant water. They request for provision of a drainage system to facilitate the smooth flow of wastewater.
Waste was not collected
Mx. Kisu Kinner from Vaani Bihar Basti, Ward 30, shared via IVRS that the waste was not collected from household level, ,as a result, they have been dumping the waste at the entrance of the Basti. The dumped waste has not been collected. They are requesting through the IVRS for the dumped waste to be cleaned up.
Mx.Iteshree Kinner from Shakti Bihar kinner basti, ward 22 shared her voice in IVRS that they don’t get any facility regarding the toilet and the water connection due to which they are facing many problems to maintain their personal hygiene.

Mx. Preeti Kinner from Shakti Bihar, Kinner Basti, ward 22 raised her voice for the connection of water for her community as they don’t have a water supply connection.
