Suraksha Sakhi Arti Kumari is saying that she joined the panel in 2022. Before joining the panel her family had to go through a lot of harassments. Her husband has mental disorders which is why her in-laws has always discriminated and harassed them. She has children, whom she had to look after all by herself. But ever since she joined the panel, there has been positive changes in her life. She feels proud of herself and the job that she does. Initially during the meeting she found it difficult to understand the contents but gradually she gained more and more knowledge and gained confidence in herself. She started to visit police stations too and this has built her confidence. The safety panel is an extremely beneficial platform for women. One day when she was on her way to attend a panel meeting she saw some boys/men harassing women on the road. She along with other made a complaint to the police and requested patrolling in the area. The police immediately took action and started patrolling in the locality. She is giving an instance of child marriage in her community where she and her fellow members of the panel negotiated with the family and stopped the child marriage. She is also giving an instance of domestic violence in the community, she she and the fellow members negotiated and made the family aware of the punishment for domestic violence. In this way they have together stopped a lot of social evils in her community. Police has always supported them and she believes that the panel being so active in the community is very helpful for the community members and the members in the panel itself.
Savita Devi from Patliputra is saying that she is a victim of domestic violence. Her husband beats her up very much. He has a affair with her sister-in-law (bhabi). When Savita Devi raises her voice when she is being beaten by her husband and tells him that she would make a police complaint, the husband threatens her and tells her she would not be able to do anything to him. Savita Devi wants to file an FIR against her husband, which is why she is seeking help. She is also a Panel member and her husband demeans her and says her contacts in the panel will also not be able to do anything for her.
Anita Devi is saying that she likes the audios that are played on Suraksha Vaani especially the law contents. It is a very good initiative taken by the organisation
