News read by Muneeswari from Semmalar union. On 26th May Semmalar union conducted weekly meeting in union office. Union incharges and TLRF Ponnusamy has also attended the meeting. Agendas were last week work experience, members registration, village information, welfare help, signature campaign, NK Popularization, dividing work to admins in whatsapp. Last week work done: Signature campaign for banning wine shops, list of people who have received welfare schemes, we have decided to finish 60 cards for semmalar union. Datas were collected in 7 villages. Signature campaign will be conducted in targeted villages for the next week. We were asked to increase callers for NK radio. We also discussed about job allotment for whatsapp group admins.
Mettupatti old street survey has been done completely. 5 members Nadusurmpali has got Govt benefits. Rani from Patthirattipatti has also got Govt welfare benefit.
I am Arumugam from Ottanchathiram Ambedkar union and reporter of Tamil sudar and Vanakam India. From last 12 years an old lady is fighting for Patta document in Puliyurnattham village. 2 years back she has lost her husband. She has a son. She is living in 1359/1329. She has paid house tax by panchayth, ration card, Adhar card, Voter ID, MGNREGA card. She has no one to protect her or help her. She is living with the money got in 100 days work scheme. She needs patta document to get drinking water facility and electricity facility. Even after having all the documents she is not given patta document. TN Govt says if a person is residing in Govt land for more than 3 years, he can get the patta by applying it. Still Govt officials are didnt give her patta and making her run behind it. Social workers and activists requests to give her patta document and give the necessary facilities to lead life.

I am Vasantha. Due to lock down relaxation some people are going for work. But they are getting the same salary. Atleast now we should save something from our salary only then we can manage. Govt will feed only one person in family. We need to take care of our family. So we should save some money rather wasting money in wine shop.

I am calling from Meenampatti. People who have registered in welfare board and for fire cracker workers whose PF is being deducted, they are getting Rs.1000 as relief fund. People who are working under contract didnt get any relief fund. Can they get any financial help from Govt? Can we get the answer for this. Reply: People who are working in fire crackers are getting relief fund. In the same way fire cracker workers working under contract basis can they get relief fund? This was the question. Thanks for the question. Tamilnadu Govt has announced to give Rs.1000 for 1,20,200 fire cracker workers working in 1370 companies. If they are members in welfare board money will be credited in their account. So far no GO has been passed about giving any relief materials to contract workers.
I am Dhanamani from Ambedkar union. We helped some people in Semmadapet in registering welfare board card. Today they got Rs.2000 credited in their account and also got provisions from ration shop. This is helpful for them in Corona situation.

Datas were collected to distribute 2nd stage of relief material distribution. People from other 2-3 village are asking to give relief materials. I dont know what to answer. But still we are planning to help them in possible way.
