Sukhdev Kumar from Kharkhari village in Birni block of Giridih district called up to request the government administration authorities to build either a hand pump or a tube well in their village since they are facing immense water shortage. Even for fetching drinking water or taking a bath, they have to walk more than a kilometre from their village. He says that although it is the season of monsoon everywhere else, their village has not been blessed with rains yet.
