Giridih: Laxman Ram called from Bengabad, Giridih to inform about the annoying ailment in the Papaya plants he planted. He said that the entire plant have dried up from top to the roots. The same symptoms have been found by him on the Mango plants. The Agriculture expert from PRADAN replied that the Papaya plant cannot be saved as per the symptoms explained. But the Mango plant can be treated with a insecticide called Actara which can be diluted in 15 litres of water and sprayed on the plants. This should be done after cutting the infected stems and leaves from the tree.
